The Art of Wrestling – The Age of Orton

Another returning act that isn’t a jacked up genetic freak but certainly looks a bit freakier these days because of his multi-skull sleeve tattoos on both arms is Randy Orton.  His new shirt needs to be evaulated because his first in-ring action barely merits a mention because of it’s short length.  The shirt is as baffling as Randy’s new tattoos.

On the front, prominently in the middle of the shirt is an orange gas mask.  Is this because it is Randy’s standard M.O. for new Divas is to drop a deuce in their gym bags?  I don’t know.  Did Randy Orton take some lessons from Najeh Davenport during his off time?  I doubt it, so why is there a damned gas mask on the front of his shirt?  It makes no sense.  I’m thinking they could have done something that was more along the lines of what an emperor would have done but that might be too similar to HHH’s “King of Kings” gimmick.  Behind the mask is a round design that is similar to Randy’s now covered tribal tattoos.

They could have used this gas mask for Big Van Vader.

On the back,  the design is kept simple.  The WWE continues to use the tribal tattoo like as a base with the letters “RKO” over top of it in Gothic lettering.  The whole shirt is black with all of the art work and lettering ranging from yellow to a golden orange which sets up a nice contrast in colors.  The back of the shirt solid but the front just makes no sense.  If you have any good ideas on what should have been placed on the front of the shirt, let me know. – Kevin

  1. Najeh Davenport…Steeler and Packer fans unite.

Liked him better with the dreads when he was actually running hard for he Pack.

Hey, didnt you guys just cut him loose?

  2. Yeah, they let go of him last week because he wasn’t going to be able to play which would have meant only 2 healthy RB on the roster, Moore and Carey Davis who is mainly their fullback. – K
