Mickie James is Injured- Sad Face

Not sure how the hell this got by us, well, other than our rampant alcohol consumption and Eric’s fornication issues but Mickie James underwent surgery last week. So this explains her quick title loss to Michelle McCool on Smackdown at least. This info comes straight off of her very own twitter account. You too can follow her at mickiejamesdiva.
I tried finding the actual twat/tweet/twit and cant; do it but trust me it’s there somewhere. Only issue I have with this is the fact she got bent out of shape that “dirtsheets” took her tweet and reported it as their own.

“I love how dirt sheets post wrestlers tweets, like it’s their own steller reporting! Lame! Report that 1!”

Not sure what got her all bent out of shape. She tweeted it and if the person follows her they report on it. The news wasn’t; anywhere else that I saw so what the fuck is she talking about. Please, please my dear Mickie, we love you at Stunt Granny. Don’t turn in to a rancid whiner like so many other wrestlers.  If you post it and they use it for the crux of a story it isn’t stellar reporting but it is reporting. Sigh -Jeremy

PWO – Season 3 – Episode 9

"The Megastar" is in the main event. Check out what happened after the jump.

Benjamin Boone was accompanied to ring side by N8 Mattson.Boone was ready to take on Jason Bane to collect Aaron Maguire’s $10,000 bounty. Joe Dombrowski & Maguire noted that Boone pushed Bane to the limit the last time they wrestled before interference. They also said that both wrestlers are in the best shape of their lives. Bane came at Boone early with some basic power wrestling.  Bane hit a spine buster but before he could capitalize, Mattson grabbed his leg. Boone then took over and focused on Bane’s left leg.  Bane blocked a suplex and hit one of his own. hey battled outside the ring. Bane charged at Boone but missed when Mattson pushed Boone out of the way. Mattson tried to hit Bane with a chair but Bane stopped him. Bane then chased him to the backstage area. Bane was counted outfor Boone to get the win.

Analysis: Good match that didn’t give away a clean finish between the battle of the big men. It was their second go around though so they can’t stretch this feud out much longer unless tag team matches involve them. Maguire can continue to hold the bounty for Bane too since Boone didn’t get him out of PWO.

Gregory Iron & Hobo Joe were backstage. Iron said he wasn’t surprised by the bullying of Sex appeal. He said that they may be the champions right now, but they can be the cream of the crop. Iron said that he has faith in Joe. Joe said that it was nice for the vote of confidence but he’s not sure who is going to turn on him since all of his friends have turned on him. Iron said that he was there for the long haul. They then shook hands and Iron said they were coming for the belts.

Monday Night TNA Impact Fails

This has nothing to do with wrestling but everything to do with awesome.

Well that was a painful way to start the Monday Night Wars part 2. TNA scored a .98 rating Monday in comparison to Monday Night Raw’s 3.4. Some sites are rounding up TNA’s rating for some inexplicable reason and showing it as a 1.0 but that is incorrect. They scored under a 1.0 rating and it should be eye opening to everyone in TNA as well as Spike TV.

TNA had weeks of promotion behind Impact moving to Monday nights and their fan base tuned out. They cannot use the excuse of their audience not knowing the show was moving after being beaten over the head with the information. Their announcers constantly plugged the move and they sacrificed all of their PPV hype for the move in advertising and signage. Spike TV didn’t help them as well as their in house promotions rarely promoted the move.

All excuses aside, TNA needs to be concerned. They should have pulled in at least a 1.1 rating Monday night. They were successful in their terms the last time they went live in Mondays.  As far as the future goes, TNA really needs to show that they can get an audience to turn over a 1.1 quickly. After giving away so much Monday anything but a 1.3 or at best a legit 1.0 should be expected. If not they have blown their wad and have nothing more to entice audiences to tune back in every Monday; especially in the face of WWE’s strongest push of the year heading in to WrestleMania. -Jeremy
