Sixteen episodes have come and gone and we covered every single one of em, at least we think, maybe not. Anyway, the season finale is over and after a whole lot of bullets what did our guys think? How were their survival predictions? Just how awful were Kevin’s picks? Did Andrea finally redeem herself? Was that a different face from Michonne? Will someone grab Hershel a comb or a brush already? How badass is Carl now? Is he right in his actions? Have we finally seen the last of ghost wife? How about that twist form The Governor? No one saw that one coming huh? Who is running Woodbury now? Keep on reading after the “more” and find out.

Jeremy: So, color me disappointed.

Kevin: You and the rest of the audience that wasn’t with Chris Hardwick. The ending was flatter than a surfboard.

Jeremy: I did not watch Talking Dead yet. Defaulted to Game of Thrones instead. Far ore satisfying than Walking Dead. It felt like they forgot how many episodes were left. All of the action happened off screen and that is outside the normal for the show.

Kevin: I didn’t really watch it but the crowd and him were all fired up. I’m not sure how. If the highlight is before the opening credits, you’re in trouble.

Jeremy: Yes so let’s start there. Great stuff with Milton, Governor and Andrea. Milton turned out to be a bit tougher than he seemed. Andrea at least gave an answer to why she is a dolt.

Kevin: I only read one thing about the season finale and it was with the writer. He said the viewers didn’t understand Andrea’s stance. Hey pal, if it was ambiguous, that’s on your shoulders. Just say you didn’t write her character well enough.

Jeremy: The writers ruined her this season. She was coming along nicely when she got separated from the group. At no point this season was there any redeemable thought pout in to her.

Kevin:  I understood his argument that the characters don’t see what the audience does, but when the Governor is telling you he’s knocking people off left & right, Andrea knows what the audience does, basically. So that in turns makes her an easy beating post.

Jeremy: I thought her reasoning was flimsy that she didn’t want anyone to die. Again, look around dummy.

Kevin: Yep, then her dummy act continued in the chair. I know it couldn’t have been easy trying to wrangle pliers with your feet strapped into it, but you could have shown a little more urgency.

Jeremy: How about any? It was a tense scene because of her idiocy. Don’t worry about the guy on the floor who is clearly going to zombieland. She can’t talk and work some pliers at the same time?

Kevin: Maybe people forgot how to multitask since they only have to worry about zombies now.

Jeremy: Well then she got what she deserved. She wasted about three quality minutes of time stopping ad talking or staring. Furthering the idea she was a dummy.

Kevin: She didn’t help her cause at all this episode. Even her redemption moment wasn’t that big of a deal. She said she wanted to prevent deaths but doomed half the population of Woodbury.

Jeremy: Which I thought was great on Rick’s behalf. All he said was “yeah.” No confirm or deny. What a great nonchalant dick move.

Kevin: It was nice enough of him to say they wanted her back. She didn’t need any more kindness than that.

Jeremy: I read it as there was still animosity on his part towards her. He was just giving her peace. The real emotion was Michonne which took me by surprise.

Kevin: As there should have been some animosity. She whiffed on finding Maggie & Glenn. Didn’t knock off the Governor when she had multiple chances. Michonne’ s reaction makes sense. She kept trying to get Andrea to leave. They had just spent a winter alone too which has got to create a bond.

Jeremy: Hershel asked her to come back the final time and nothing. I will admit when they showed her flesh ripped open I did the fist pump and yelled “YES!” Then Michonne has to go and start crying and I felt a tad guilty but really, screw her dumb ass.

Kevin: I’ve got no sympathy for Andrea. You could see that outcome coming as far away as most wrestling angles.

Jeremy: Well they did shoot the scene where he bit her so the moment was going to be for television but not sure why it wasn’t used. Will have to catch Talking Dead to fill that part in. Michonne crying would have carried some heavier weight if they had explored their journey a bit. Yeah they were friends and what not but most of the time they were split.

Kevin: They have missed their fair share of opportunities to make the show go from very good to awesome. I was surprised at how little they had shown them together especially when they kept referencing the time they had spent together.

Jeremy: They gave us a flashback a few weeks ago for no reason. Would have been better if that was explored the entire time. You are right though a lot of missed opportunities. You think that played a part in keeping The Governor around?

Kevin: I’m not sure. The zombies aren’t hacking it for real villains. He’s a much better suited for that role especially after they really took him off the deep end last night.

Jeremy: Yes the massacre of his own army was the shock of the episode. It was a nice plot device that allowed for Rick to be a savior but it really established he as losing all control.

Kevin: The only part I was confused about after he mowed them down was, wasn’t his last intention on screen that he wanted to go back to the prison to finish the job? Instead the Governor, Martinez and another random black guy left the show for the remainder of the season.

Jeremy: When watching that is what i expected at the end. When Rick and the group returned I expected the people left behind to be in a bad way. Instead they  became a refugee colony. Oh Martinez and black guy won acting award of the night. They had the exact same reactions. “um, so what are we supposed to do now?”

Kevin: It was a perfect look. Even they didn’t want to hop in the truck with the Governor but they did because they’re out of options until he sleeps. If Andrea was too dumb to kill him, they are equally dumb for not doing it the second he’s out.

Jeremy: Funny thing is I hadn’t even thought of that. Also, could be kind of telling for their personalities. They have to follow.

Kevin: I’ve got no sympathy for Andrea. You could see that outcome coming as far away as most wrestling angles.

Jeremy: Funny thing is I hadn’t even thought of that. Also, could be kind of telling for their personalities. They have to follow.

Kevin: That is a true statement. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with that little contingent. I’ve got an odd feeling they won’t knock him off in his sleep. They need a Brutus in their life.

Jeremy: We talked about the idea of a mad Governor running loose and now we got it and I am not opposed to his surviving. It may be hard to build up to his death in the future again but as an antagonist it was a smart move.

Kevin: One would think more people would go mad like him & Morgan. Speaking of which, good to see that going crazy runs in Rick’s family.

Jeremy: No way. Carl was totally right. Dude was told to put the gun down. He keeps walking forward and not putting the gun down. It sucks for a child to have to do that but then he has a history as well. Hershel goes and rats him out. What a douche.

Kevin: That was my initial thought on the kid that didn’t put his gun down. Carl could have given him another chance though. Looks like they have plenty time to try and figure out if Carl is really Shane’s kid too.

Jeremy: Spooky, my thought as well. Carl is there protecting gimpy and ole whatshername and he gets ratted out. What gratitude. I was expecting that kid to pop of Hershel and Beth before Carl got him.

Kevin: I did expect the kid to do more because he did hold onto the gun the whole time. Beth finally opened her zombie kill count to a grand total of 1. She’s getting somewhere.

Jeremy: yeah what a shocker. Also, Carol was showing some fine form. They even allowed Carol and Daryl to look chummy. Almost like they wanted to be around each other which leads me to think something got cut out.

Kevin: Her doing his hair so it didn’t look so stylized.

Jeremy:  I think you may have it my friend. Hers is at that awkward stage while his is fabulous. now if Daryl can be so well groomed can’t someone comb Hershel’s beard? He is missing a leg not arms for god’s sake.

Kevin: You caught me off guard with that one. Hilarious. We’ve talked some about moments that may have gotten cut. Do they have extras on their DVDs?

Jeremy: There betetr be. likean entire episode 15.5 or soemthing. At the least, fill in the blanks so we can see Daryl at least moderatly anguished abotu Merle. Jut an awkward final epsidoe for the season. they added more bodycoutn for season four and that is nice but nothing got resolved.

Kevin: That’s what was most disappointing to me. You expect some big battle then it turns into the Andrea & Milton show.

Jeremy: I will say it again; they ran out of time. It is the only thing I can thnk of. The writers realized it and instead of shoehorning a large battle they ahd The Governors people look stupid. What kind of plan was that? Go in and first sign of trouble run?

Kevin: All of a sudden, hey we’re not soldiers. Maybe it takes a few flash bang grenades and bullets at the feet can do that. Easy to stand up to the “bully” when other people handle getting punched.

Jeremy: This is true but good grief they just ran. I mean they all tossed in a truck and bolted. At least they did give a perspective when Karen (?) said they lived in a grey box or something and they can have it. Of course this got everyone but her killed so good job toots.  This may be a new Walking Dead theme; Women only cause trouble. This is absolutely true of course but there is no  need to beat us over the head with it.

Kevin: Maybe they need a female writer in there for help. I was a little confused by who threw the grenades. Was it Rick & Daryl? Maggie & Glenn were shooting. Beth, Carl & Merle were in the woods.

Jeremy: I am not sure it was supposed to be clear. It just added to the confusion of the situation.

Kevin: I did like the feel of that scene because they made it chaotic.

Jeremy: So was the prison group intentionally missing everyone when shooting?

Kevin: Glenn & Maggie seemed more concerned with scaring them off rather than killing them. Plus, it looked like they were the only ones shooting at them. They kept ducking behind their shields

Jeremy: So it is safe to say there was a bigger plan? Rick was going to finish it at Woodbury but it was going to be more talking? Make his case that they could have killed them all and didn’t.

Kevin: I think they expected more to happen at the prison then when it didn’t, they decided to go after the Governor. No one would have talked to Rick so I don’t think that was an option.

Jeremy: Then everything changes. They were very lucky Tyresse was doing the shooting when they got to Woodbury.

Kevin: Yes they were. Good thing they had easy cover too. The only other thing I saw online was people wondering why they brought the people to the prison instead of staying in Woodbury. Makes way more sense to stay in the prison from many aspects in my opinion.

Jeremy: I thought that was easy. They stay in Woodbury the Governor knows exactly what to do. The prison poses all sorts of challenges but then Tyresse did tell him how they got in. Opens up for next season really.

Kevin: More people around to do work should help repair some of the problems. It will be interesting though to see what direction they take. Having a big group again changes the dynamic of the show.

Jeremy: It does and I expect the group to not last long. It opens up possibilities though and that is one positive of the season finale. As well as getting rid of Andrea. So I guess that is it for this season. We get a break until October. Looks like we are going to need a new show to talk about? Thanks for reading along everyone. We will be back with more “The Walking Dead “talk in October.
