Stunt Granny Presents: We Watch Stuff Podcast #5

There are no firm rules for this podcast so talking about wrestling is just something that will happen from time to time. But first Shahid and Jeremy talk about the opening weekend for Transformers: Age of Extinction. Did Shahid like it and if so how when nearly no one else did? Yeah a lot of people watched t but have you seen those review scores? Sheesh. Anyway, why did one studio call out Paramount as being huge liars? Is that reaction even warranted? What was the deal with Roddy Piper and Bad News Brown anyway? Who the hell though that was a good idea? How was the Money In The Bank match for our hosts? Who had the bump of the match? Was there anything shocking at all? Who was the MVP of the show? All of these questions are answered all you have to do is listen.

This week’s “We Watch Stuff” is dedicated to the drama, pageantry, bloat and excess of the Transformers movie franchise. Shahid and Jeremy cover each movie from top to bottom and try to make sense of it all. Why does Bumblebee not talk? What creative mind thought that was a good idea? What excuse does Michael Bay make for his movies? Who is his audience after all? How great were the Ghettobots? You remember them right? You did realize one of them had a very distinct feature? April 2015?!?

Yes after a week off to deal with lightning damage Jeremy and Shahid are back. You would expect the guys to catch up on two weeks’ worth of television and movies but why bother? Seriously, the Game of Thrones season finale was this past Sunday. How did the season play out? Were the final two episodes of season four worth the hype? What patriarchal decision didn’t make much sense? Why does HBO insist of being cheap and making only ten episodes of this series anyway? Should HBO finally stop being tightwads and increase the number of episodes? If so, what is the right amount? How can we all survive until next April waiting for season five? Find out by simply clicking the link or downloading the show.

We Watch Stuff is back again this week and the boys talk about the big events of Game of Thrones. The show doesn’t start that way but how can Game of Thrones not be talked about in depth? Shahid and Jeremy begin the show talking about the change the television climate. HBO and more specifically The Sopranos, gets a lot of credit for this but what show really started the ore adult themed trend but gets no credit? Why does FX never in the conversation of television changing programing? Which one of our co-hosts has only seen two episodes of The Sopranos? Who has never seen a single episode of Breaking Bad? Which FX show is never brought up amongst the greatest dramas of all time? Why not anyway? Then there is the Game of Thrones conversation not to be missed. It comes from the perspective of two non-book readers because reading is for 1920’s  fancy lads. SO tune in to hear the raw emotions of the final twenty minutes of television that had everyone talking. Oh yeah, they even manage to talk about Maleficent and Snow White and The Huntsman. Yeah, two dud movies, or were they? Listen and find out to see what happened after the recording and how Jeremy may break his laptop in half. .Give this a listen to figure out what that all means.

x-men-days-of-future-past22

Yes you see that correctly as it is the dawn of a new era on Stunt Granny. Please welcome our newest Podcast: We Watch Stuff. After two successful runs on the unnamed show we decided to make this a permanent fixture so if you like TV, movies, comics or books then this is the place for you. Ok, not books because really, who the hell reads anymore? This week’s show consists primarily of the X-Men movie franchise. After X-Men: Days of Future Past is the future of Fox’s X-Men franchise secure or was this on par with X-Men: The Last Stand? Why is it that Shahid goes off on the typical comic fan? Would a spin-off movie off all of the X-Men a**hole characters work? What is the biggest missed opportunity in the new Amazing Spiderman franchise? (Yeah that slipped in the convo.) Was the lack of explanation on major plot threads a detriment to Days of Future Past? Why are comic fans such a whiny bunch? Is it even possible to make a movie they will enjoy? Well, all the answers rest in the link below so go ahead and click away already.
