56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania XIX’s Best Matches

Here’s an underrated WrestleMania if I ever saws one. A few candidates for best match of the night, including, of course, one stand-out and possibly a few cult favorites. Also, the first WrestleMania under the new WWE banner! Hey! What you got?

Leave it to the Stunt Galaxy: This year’s version of Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boys vs. Dudley Boys made it, as did the Gimmick Battle Royal. You truly are ones-of-a-kind. (And you’re right; as good as Undertaker vs. Triple H and Steve Austin vs. Rock were, tell me you weren’t on the edge of your seat for the entire battle royal. You were.)

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania X8’s Best Matches

It’s WrestleMania times 8! Anyway, not a bad card, but a clear front-runner for best match. I know I have a personal favorite No. 2; let’s see what yours is!

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania X-Seven’s Best Matches

Back to stadiums where WrestleMania belongs, and halfway back into Roman numerals, here’s the card most fans consider to be the best WrestleMania of all time. So it shouldn’t take much effort to pick a few good matches!

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania 2000’s Best Matches

What’s the Roman numeral for 2000? Anyway, this was the biggest WrestleMania of the past five years without WWF’s biggest star, Steve Austin, on the card, so WWF went into heavy PR mode, including getting each of the four main-event participants a guest-host gig on Saturday Night Live. It was still an odd card, with only one singles match, for the Women’s Title. Somewhere in the chaos was one or two matches worth voting for, so have at it!

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania XV’s Best Matches: Results

I had to vote for Butterbean vs. Bart Gunn just so we’d have a second match with votes. And rightfully so: This was a pretty lackluster WrestleMania, all things considered. The Steve Austin vs. Rock match wasn’t even the best of their matches that year. Oh well.

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania XV’s Best Matches

From the year that would be the bane of Dusty’s existence: 1999. Could the biggest card of the year be properly executed by someone who is equal parts idiot and egotist like Vince Russo? Could he offer enough ADD-laden matches that qualify as “best”? Vote now and let’s see what we come up with!

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania XIV’s Best Matches: Results

I’m sticking you guys with only the last part of the Shawn Michaels vs. Steve Austin match, because the match had been broken up into three pieces on YouTube, with the third piece removed due to copyright infringement and then re-posted on DailyMotion. But you all remember it, so whatever, no big loss. The other best match on the card per your votes was Undertaker vs. Kane, a solid choice of a match between two characters that, in the earliest stages of their careers, you simply would not have guessed would have lasted as long as they did.

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania XIV’s Best Matches

Get it? dX raided? Because it’s like the show is X-Rated, but it’s been raided by DX? They’re lucky this isn’t 1999 – the worst year in WWF/E history – so they get a pass on this one. A few good matches here to choose from; I’m interested to see what comes in second behind Austin-Michaels.

56 Days of WrestleMania – WrestleMania XIII’s Best Matches

Here’s a tale of two WWFs: One great match, a handful of good matches, a little identity crisis here and there, and some relative stinkers, all while the newly-attitudinal WWF navigates the deep, dark waters of second place. Which match will, alongside Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin, reign supreme?
