@PRIMEWrestling – Season 5 – Episode 19

Joe Dombrowski & Aaron Maguire introduce the show. Jimmy Jacobs will be defending the PRIME Wrestling Title against Louis Lynden. Mr. RBI is taking on Jason Bane. Sex Appeal, Bobby Beverly & Bobby Shields, are taking on Corey Winters & Ben Fruith to kick off the show. Corey Winters starts out against Bobby Shields. Sex Appeal took control early. Beverly was acting weird because he kept getting orders from Shields. Winters backed Beverly into his corner and tagged in Fruith. They double team Beverly with a flying knee. Sex Appeal took back over with Shields shouting more orders to Beverly. Fruith flipped out of a back suplex and tagged in Winters. Beverly was on the receiving end of a Cutter. Shields blind tagged in. Shields gave Fruith a Body Bomb for the victory. Shields ordered Beverly out of the ring to grab scissors. They cut off the bangs for Fruith. Winters chased them out of the ring with a chair.

Analysis: They told a solid story with Sex Appeal. Fruith looks like he’s put on a few pounds which isn’t a bad thing. The wrestling was fine but I always find it odd when tags are made as frequently as they were in this match. It doesn’t give anyone much rest time on the apron which is the purpose of tagging out. Score: +1.

They showed a replay of Michael “The Bomber” Facade winning the TV Title last week. He then gets a crack at the mic. Facade talks about taking a long time to accomplish his goals in PRIME Wrestling. He said he’ll be a people’s champion. Facade wants to stand up for everyone being bullied on the roster. Louis Lynden said that he’ll be entering his prime when he takes on Jimmy Jacobs. Analysis: Facade’s promo was average. Lynden was the main talker when Flip Kendrick was around. He seemed a little lost. Score: 0.

Bryan Castle introduces Dan Arkham, who is wearing a Batman shirt. Castle calls him “BatDan” and gives Arkham his lucky head band to make him more brave. Castle wants a ride in the Batmobile. Then asks to wear the utility belt. Brian Bender comes in and tells Castle to listen and Arkham to hold the mic between them. Bender is offended that Castle chose Arkham as a hero. Arkham looks sort of offended. Bender tells Castle he’s wasted his time because Castle sucks as a student. Bender ends by saying he may have to beat the lessons into him one day. Analysis: Castle was pretty funny. Arkham played his part well especially when acting offended. It was more of a look of “How could he say this to my face” than actual offense. Bender was awesome since his instructions have been ignored. Score: +1.

Stunt Granny Audio Show- Prime Wrestling #2

@PRIMEWrestling – Season 5 – Episode 18

Joe Dombrowski & Aaron Maguire introduce the show. Gory takes on Michael “The Bomber” Facade for TV Title. Gory forfeits the title if he’s disqualified and Facade isn’t allowed to go after the title any more if he loses. Aaron Draven will take on Nicki Valentino. They kick off the show with Brian Bender taking on Matt Mason. They exchange arm locks. (Really slow start.) Bender takes over with kicks, punches and chops. Mason returns fire. Bender gets knocked down and takes a break. Mason’s arm gets snapped over the top when he tried to grab Bender on the outside. Bender worked on the arm. Bender got two after an arm bar drop. Bender charged in and caught an elbow & boot. Bender tossed Mason arm first into the corner. Bender got pushed off a top rope cutter. Mason finished him with a Swanton Bomb.

Analysis: That was weird. Bender is usually a good wrestler. Mason seemed like he was smooth but the match somehow didn’t work for me. Mason’s offense came after an exceptionally slow start and the offense that led to it was a little weak for a finish. The right person went over. Mason was announced as being from Columbus so of course he had scarlet & grey trunks with a block O on his butt. Why did they change their name to PRIME Wrestling again? Score: 0.

They showed entirely too much review of Matt Cross vs Jimmy Jacobs. You only have an hour a week. It was six minutes long. Wow. Cut that puppy down to two. Let the previous match build a little more smoothly. Matt Cross keeps taking one step forward, two steps back. He goes thru companies that he worked for that went under. He said he’s legally bound not to say stuff about Tough Enough. Cross said everyone knows he didn’t get a fair shot. Cross said he came back home and had his title taken again. The belt means more to him than to Jacobs. Analysis: He didn’t quite get me to buy in. It’s good stuff but there’s another notch. Score: 0.

Jimmy Jacobs was with Bobby Shields & Nicki Valentino. Jacobs said he can;t be called a liar since he’s already the PRIME Wrestling champion. He took over Johnny Gargano’s yard. Jacobs takes exception that Gargano thinks he’s great. Jacobs said he’ll be all up in Johnny if he comes back. Bobby Shields came back from a spiritual journey. Jacobs wants him to find that monster inside instead of the beauty. Jacobs tells Valentino he’s doing OK too. Jacobs tells him to keep Beverly because he keeps screwing up. Analysis: I expect more out of Jacobs. He feels like he’s going thru the motions. Not cool. It’s an easy story to sell, the actions have done a good job. The voice is faulty. Score: 0.

They showed a commercial for Wrestlelution 5. Yippee! I’m so going to Melt Bar & Grilled again.

PWO – Season 5 – Episode 13

This makes your review pointless.

Joe Dombrowski and Aaron Maguire introduce the show. Matt Cross defends the PWO Title against Bobby Beverly. “The Megastar” Marion Fontaine takes on Corey Winters. Bobby Shields with Nicki Valentino kicks the show off against Bryan Castle who didn’t have Brian Bender. The ref did the old school pat down. Shields starts with punches. Castle hip tossed Shields three times. Castle slammed him. Castle waved at Valentino. Shields attacked him from behind on the floor. Shields missed a chop and hit the post. Castle started to attack the hand. Valentino held Castle’s leg so that Shields could attack again. Shields kneed Castle in the gut. Shields choked him. Shields missed a splash. Castle put on the head band and clotheslined Shields. Castle drop kicked him. Shields got splashed. Castle low clotheslined him. Valentino distracted the ref. Shields kicked Castle in the face. He only got a two count. Shields got tossed over the rope and noggin knocked with Valentino. Castle tried to suplex Shields back into the ring but Valentino grabbed his leg. Shields countered into a splash and Valentino held the legs for the three count.

Analysis: Really good match up. Well wrestled and well executed. It protects Castle but Shields gets the win. Well done sirs. Score: +1.

Krimson tells Jason Bane that Wrestlelution was not going to be their last meeting. He says he’s been in a no DQ match with Bane and he knows what’s coming. Krimson said he learned from his mistakes and will not repeat them. Krimson tells Matt Mason to walk away before he drowns in a sea of misery and despair. Analysis: I’m just digging this dude right now. Really thoughtful evil promos. Score: +1.

Jason Bane states the stipulations in the match. He says that if he needs to become a monster to beat Krimson and will do it. Bane promises to become the most brutal of them all. Analysis: It’s a tough spot. I thought it got the point across but he followed Krimson so it feels worse than it should. He’s just not that great at mic work but Bane has improved. Score: +1.

Matt Mason said that he can’t get a response from him. Mason said that he’s going to get a hold of Krimson. Mason is calling him out on his sickness. Mason said he’s tired of Krimson trying to crush other people’s dream. Mason said that if Krimson can’t stop his own sickness, he will. Analysis: He could have used a little more pep to really nail this thing but he needs to pivot to more than an observer at this point. This promo seemed pointed that way. Score: +1.

Marion Fontaine came out first. Corey Winters tried to hype up the crowd. (They need the last venue back.) Fontaine primps to the crowd. They tied up in the corner. Fontaine broke clean. Winters backed Fontaine into the corner. He broke clean too. Winters arm dragged Fontaine and held him down with an arm bar. Dombrowski zinged Maguire. Fontaine kneed Winters. Corey yanked on Fontaine’s arm. Fontaine flipped out of the arm bar but bragged so Winters yanked on his arm multiple times. Winters flipped him onto his back. Fontaine didn’t get enough air for a leap frog. Fontaine drop kicked Winters. They redid the spot. Fontaine went for a monkey flip but Winters pulled his legs backwards and Irish whipped him. Winters super arm dragged him out of the ring. Winters nailed a cross body to the floor. Fontaine rammed Winters into the guard rail. Fontaine tossed him back into the ring. Fontaine yapped to the crowd from the apron. Winters grabbed the injured left arm but Fontaine jumped backwards. Fontaine started to work over Winters left arm. Fontaine punched him. Fontaine chin locked Winters. Winters fought out. Fontaine basement drop kicked Winters. Fontaine kicked Winters to the mat. He over shot a moonsault as noted by Dombrowski.  Winters punched him. Winters nailed an enziguri. Winters hit a Cutter. He only got a two count. Fontaine kicked Winters in the face charging into a corner. He followed it up with a super kick. Fontaine missed a spring board. Winters hit a stomach buster. He went for Sliced Bread #2 but Fontaine ducked under and held the tights for the three count. Justin LaBar orders the match restarted because of said held tights. Winters rolls up Fontaine while holding the tights which he should have seen but Dombrowski said he had turned around. Fontaine assaulted Winters after the match. Fontaine yelled at LaBar. Fontaine says he wants the tapes.

#PWOWrestling – Season 5 – Episode 10

Veda Scott looks good in the librarian glasses.

Joe Dombrowski and Aaron Maguire open the show by telling us the main event is Matt Cross against “The Megastar” Marion Fontaine for the PWO Title. Veda Scott and Sassy Steph are in action too. The opening match is Benjamin Boone with N8 Mattson against “Omega” Aaron Draven. (I’m not sure the last time I’ve seen him.) Dombrowski tried to explain who was injured but I couldn’t hear him well. Maguire said they’re not tag champs any more so I suppose they were talking about Flip Kendrick’s injury. (It seems to be legit from what I read on their site.) Boone tries to intimidate Draven, who is not. They exchanged some big guy (show of power), little guy moves (agility & quickness). Draven flipped onto his own face trying to take over Boone. The Big Bear dropped a knee on him. Boone gave Draven a short clothesline. Boone locked on the dreaded abdominal stretch. Draven hip tossed out but Boone stayed in control. He gave Draven a big boot. Nice key lock in the pin by Boone. He locked on a grounded bear hug. Draven elbowed out. Draven got out of a choke slam by DDTing Boone. Draven clotheslined Boone to no affect. He gave Boone an atomic drop then drop kicked him. Draven spring board heel kicked Boone. Draven only got a two count. Boone locked on the Bear Trap DDT but Draven fought out. He kicked Boone a couple of times then gave him an enziguri. That move draped Boone over the middle rope. Boone shoulder tackled a charging Draven. Boone went for a spring board power bomb (I feel like I’m not using the right words there) but Draven turned it into a huracanrana. Draven gave him Rolling Thunder. Draven kicked him in the face. Boone came back with a spear. He only got a two count. They countered some moves. Draven turned it into a roll up for the three count.

Analysis: I do not think Draven wrestled a very good match. Boone held up his end of the bargain and adapted to several botches well. Since I liked one guy and not the other. Score: 0.

Matt Mason had a relationship with Krimson. He is being interviewed by Vic Travagliante. Moore said that he doesn’t know who Krimson is because he knows that man as CK3. Moore has been up and down the roads with him. He asks Vic whether he wants to call him Krimson or CK3. Vic answers Krimson. Moore admonishes him. CK3 became depressed after his wife left him and his friends getting signed to better deals. Moore said that he’s always positive. He said that CK is sick and that he needs to get away from wrestling. Moore closes by saying the only way he stays in wrestling is if he turns Krimson back into CK.

Analysis: Hmm, interesting. I don’t think he was the best. He needed some more conviction and to relax some. I like the take though. Makes for an interesting storyline. Score: +1.

Bryan Castle is waving to the camera while Brian Bender admonishes him. Castle got him a gift. It was Bender’s own lucky head band. Bender said that he won and Castle lost. Bender said that Castle had been doing great in the gym but then he tried to eat a candy. Bender gave him a protein bar. Castle spit it out because it tasted like cardboard. Analysis: It’s a fun little give and take. Protein bars are pretty tasty these days. Score: +1.

Stunt Granny PWO Audio Show #1

#PWOwrestling – Season 5 – Episode 9

"Amazing" N8 Mattson has a story to start the show.

Joe Dombrowski and Aaron Maguire kick the show off by telling us that Johnny Gargano will respond to Sex Appeal tonight. The main event is the Dead Wrestling Society (with a graphic showing Kirst & Krimson) against Aeroform (Louis Lynden & Flip Kendrick) for the PWO Tag Team Titles. Ben Fruith will also take on Brian Bender. The opener will be “Amazing” N8 Mattson with Benjamin Boone against Michael “The Bomber” Facade. Mattson comes out with a broken thumb. He blamed Aeroform for breaking it during the title match. Mattson said they’d get what is coming for them. He then said his in ring career is indefinitely on hold. Mattson said he’s going to unleash the “Big Bear” on PWO. He said that Boone will meet all of his in ring requirements. Maguire harped on Facade not being able to win the big match. Boone kept his distance while Facade threw some kicks. Boone showed off his power in collar and elbow tie ups. Satellite head scissors by Facade started his offense. Facade tried to leap frog Boone but he was still standing up. (I’m thinking that botch was on Boone. I have no idea though.) Facade Pele Kicked Boone to the outside. Facade sling shotted over the ropes but fell short. Boone picked him up and slammed him into the post. (They’ve recovered nice from each miss.) Boone slammed him into the the ring apron. Boone rolled him back inside. A leg drop only got a two count. Boone locked in a Bear Hug. A running shoulder block by Boone got another two count. Mattson tried to get involved so Facade chased him. Boone attacked from behind. Boone missed a charge into a corner. An inverted atomic drop was followed by a heel kick. Boone went outside to recover. Facade climbed onto the entrance curtains with a cross body. He took off the gui and got Boone back into the ring. Boone kicked out of a missile drop kick. Mattson distracted the ref, Jason Gorey came out and clocked Facade with the belt. Boone splashed Facade for the three count.

Analysis: Two botches doesn’t help the quality of the match. It was wrestled well aside from the noted mistakes and booked nicely with Gorey helping out Boone who couldn’t really lose just getting back into the singles ranks. Facade looked like he was going to win so it worked out in the end. Score: 0.

Kirst was outside for his promo while it was snowing. He told Greg (Iron) that their mother’s both were drug addicts. Kirst said that both of their father’s were bad. Kirst said that he was at the same show that CM Punk lauded Greg. He said he’s going to give him a real disability, broken legs. Analysis: That was pretty solid. It gave him a good reason outside of just being “evil” to hate Iron. Score: +1.

“Sassy” Stephie said she is excited to make her long awaited return to PWO & STO. She said she’ll make Veda Scott kiss her “Sass”. Analysis: I would have bought it if she had more gusto. I was quite surprised by her red hair. Score: 0.
