Stunt Granny Audio: OHPA 7

Ken and Kevin are back again after a week off because of Kevin’s travel schedule. They are here to celebrate episode seven with number seven from the Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger. Is he a guest? Of course not, we can’t get anyone that famous. Big Ben was at Pirates game shagging flys and hitting batting practice. For the second straight show, Ken tortures Kevin with memories of Idiot Intern. This time the subject matter is marbles. How much should one invest in marbles according to Idiot Intern? Is this art work by Mike Gong even comparable to what Idiot Intern collected? Is there any redeeming value to regular marbles after seeing what this gentleman can do with them? Ken & Kevin stay in the world of art by talking about a photographer putting together Gifs buildings that he has photographed. Where is the original building? Why do the guys talk about the link after talking about the art? Good thing they can link it in this write up before this miscue ever hits their ears. They move on to celebrate the start of the World Cup by talking about the videos of soccer trick shot artist Remi Gaillard.  Don’t worry, here’s the link to the Deadspin story since they repeated the same mistake immediately after the first one. How good is this guy? Are the long distance shots more impressive? How about the ones that require English? Why did Ken not watch the video below the original? Are those ones more believable? How much of a dick can Remi be? How many buildings can Kevin list from the video in Paris? They wrap up their show with their third bit of sports talk, Bad British Hockey Commentary from @amhrichardson. What parts are funny? Which ones aren’t so good? Can you hear the clip of the Bad British NFL Commentary through Kevin’s lap top? Last but not least, what’s the #SippyTimeBeer of the week? Find out when you click on the link below!

thread_hijack_in_progress_signJeremy & Kevin are here again to talk about Raw and how badly the hijacking went in Chicago. But first they start on one of many tangents that included kale shakes, Roberto Luongo being traded back to the Florida Panthers and cable providers. They focus back in on Raw. After talking about how Paul Heyman defused the situation, how was the crowd. How well did Kevin know the hijacking manifesto? Does Jeremy ever laugh out loud while reading the objectives? Aren’t some of the objectives being fulfilled by the WWE already? Do your hosts wonder if they’d want to be this young and idealist like the manifesto writer? They wonder back around to singing the praises for Paul Heyman’s speech which transitioned well into the crowd eating up Brock Lesnar. How dumb is Mark Henry? Should he have put up more of a fight? Daniel Bryan against HHH gets some attention but could Bryan still be inserted into the title picture with Randy Orton’s involvement in the main event? How unsettled is the WrestleMania card? Are the guys worried about it since they will be in attendance? Brock Lesnar gets more talk because he is in one of the confirmed matches with the Undertaker. CM Punk had a confirmed part on the WrestleMania card, so why should the fans be on his side anyway? Doesn’t that make the build up between Bryan and HHH seem stretched? But does the average fan notice? The Shield gets talked about too. Are they going to have a triple threat match at WrestleMania? How does Bray Wyatt’s spot against John Cena compare to Chris Jericho versus Fandango last year? Have you been able to follow this write up? If you did click on the tangent filled link below!

US-olympic-mens-hockey-team-rosterJeremy & Kevin are back for another week. They start off talking about why Kevin likes the Winter Olympics. I mean, other than the fact that hockey is the main event of this half of the Olympics. Jeremy brings the show to a screeching halt minutes in by talking about “My 600 Pound Life”. As usual, they finally get around to talking about wrestling. This week’s main topic is the athleticism being shown in the WWE. Being agile isn’t just for the little guys any more. Luke Harper is Jeremy’s main example but doesn’t forget to include Bray Wyatt. Does Erick Rowan get into this grouping or is he being protected too much? The Wyatts took on Cody Rhodes, Goldust & Rey Mysterio? We know that Cody can go in the ring but are the two old guys fitting into this new mold? Were they a look into the WWE’s future during their heyday? Did Cody really need to do the moonsault off the top of the cage? The Wyatts are also ready to take on the Shield at the Elimination Chamber. Roman Reigns is showing off some serious in ring skills that are being highlighted by the Superman Punch and the Spear. Is it more incumbent on the victim than the hitter to make that move look good? These moves look good but what is Kevin’s favorite move that Reigns does? How good is Seth Rollins? Good enough to not talk about his in ring skills? And where does Dean Ambrose fill in with this theme? And how do Jeremy & Kevin squeeze John Cena into this conversation? Find out when you click the link below!

The Guardian Did Age Progression on Dixie Carter

The Guardian Did Age Progression on Dixie Carter

Jeremy & Kevin are back in your ear holes. They start off by talking about Kevin’s awful trip into Pennsylvania this past weekend. If watching your team lose is bad, what makes it even worse? Kevin got two experience two different types of insult to injury during the Kent State and Pittsburgh Pirates game. They move on to talk about wrestling, specifically Raw. Did any of the story lines move along? Did that make the show bad? How bitter is Jeremy about the Chicago Blackhawks beating the Detroit Red Wings? Did this taint his evaluation of CM Punk’s promo? They weren’t surprised by the eliminations on during the 11 on 3 for the baby faces but they did break down the eliminations of the Shield members. Should the announcers had made a bigger deal out of Roman Reigns being pinned? Why was Seth Rollins the last one in the ring? Jeremy & Kevin move along to Jerry Jarrett’s take on Dixie Carter. Was he correct in his criticisms? Do you need to eat, sleep and breath wrestling to be successful? Did it help Jarrett succeed? Does he have anything in common with Carter? They segue into Dixie and her stellar acting going against AJ Styles. What built in storyline did TNA skip over to produce another heel authority figure? Should they have put over Magnus instead of Styles to avoid this angle? Is the Bound For Glory Series where TNA home grown stars go to die? Does it help Bobby Roode to be back in a team? Does anyone remember James Storm? Is TNA even wasting WWE talents like Jeff Hardy? We know some of these questions are easy to answer but we give them the analysis that you crave. Grab a #SippyTimeBeer, slap on the head phones and enjoy this romp through sports and wrestling.

Kevin’s Blog: Almost Live, Definitely Half Assed Review of #WWE #Raw

This website took things into their own hands for labeling.

This website took things into their own hands for labeling.

So if I had just made up my mind and had my computer repaired, I wouldn’t be using my parent’s spare old Dell. Of course, maybe dropping water on the lap top should have warned me that the rest of my week was going to suck from then on. I’m starting late again so I’m doing babbling. Let’s roll.

Angelo Savoldi is recognized. I get to learn who he is on Wikipedia. I’m sure I can do the reading during HHH‘s long speech. Stephanie gets to tell them that the 10 are “men.” RVD gets to be the mouth piece of the group. The McMahon’s try to turn the tables mentally on the 10 by giving them the Shield. He’s having a hard time pronunciating “frustration.” Okay, maybe they have me again. Not sure where they’re taking this thing and they don’t seem to know either.

Kofi Kingston is taking on Alberto Del Rio. Are the McMahon’s trying to wear out the 10 before their elimination match? Lawler asking if the match is fair to the Shield is pretty weird. Shouldn’t that be JBL’s role? They get a break with Kofi in control. The crowd is starting to do random chants. No surprise that Chicago is bringing it. Kofi gets a near fall from an SOS. I can’t remember the last time I saw a Boom Drop. It hasn’t gotten better. Nice German Suplex by Del Rio. Kofi screws up a DDT. Kofi misses a cross body. Del Rio goes vicious. Kofi taps out to the Cross Arm Breaker.

Renee Young gets to ask Miz the tough questions. HHH can’t let him wrestle because of his condition. He gives Miz the Big Show on Miz TV. They recap the Rhodes happenings.

The Prime Time Players get to take on the Wyatt Family in the form of Luke Harper & Erick Rowan. The beat down of the 10 continues. Darren Young is taking it. The lights go off momentarily. Most exciting news of the match so far. Titus O’Neil gets the hot tag. Young takes out Rowan. Harper capitalizes on a distracted O’Neil. Clothesline for the Wyatt win. Young gets Sister Abigail’s kiss. Mitchell Cool gets cut off making a good point. Did someone just get in trouble?

Miz TV is on. The Miz wants to know why the Big Show would do that. The Miz asks the Big Show to stand up for himself. Stephanie McMahon strides down to the ring. Steph calls the Miz a utility person. She does condescending well. Steph makes Big Show knock out the Miz which he does with no hesitation. (Next Day Note: Did the WWE realize Big Show is a lot better as a heel? If so, good for them. I’d be happy to get rid of smilely Big Show again.)

Randy Orton comes out and finds out that his opponent is RVD. The announcer banter is the best part of the match until the early break. Buzzing thru entrances makes this so much quicker. I might catch up before the finish if I keep it up. Orton makes it interesting by kicking RVD off the top rope. He appears to have snapped. They get counted out but Orton still beats down RVD. So why aren’t the other 10 helping RVD out? What a bunch of pussies. Top Rope hanging DDT.

Randy Orton runs into the Bellas back stage. He warns Brie of his awaited beating. They’re doing a good job of putting more heat on Orton instead of the McMahons. They show clips from HHH’s new DVD. Big Steph does more condescending, this time to AJ Lee. AJ doesn’t like the way she’s being treated as Divas Champion. AJ listens to Big Steph.

Um, yes please.

Um, yes please.

OK look you know we are going to talk about Sergio Garcia and his suggestions for Tiger Woods. What’s the big deal? It is golf isn’t it racist anyway? How could things get ay worse right? Well you let the CEO of the European Tour open his stupid mouth right? This ay be the only golf break that ever occurs on Stunt Granny in any capacity so it may as well be on the latest edition of The Stunt Granny Sports Show. Yes, Eric2 and Jeremy are back and among mocking golf and its competitors they also cover some serious topics like sexual assault and how women give up on looking good once they are married. Yup that’s right . Pete Rose gets married and his wife immediately decides to change her appearance for the worse. How is that fair for old Charlie Hustle? Hasn’t he given and then suffered enough already? Shouldn’t he be treated like a king? How stupid is Jose Canseco? Is it stupidity or a greater problem of being aloof and arrogant? What person wouldn’t be terrified and hiding in the face of sexual assault allegations? Why would any rational person go against his attorneys orders and blather on o the media? What kind of dummy taunts the accuser on Twitter? What exactly is Ozzie Canseco up to right now anyway? Is this a Lifetime movie in the works? They also break down how the media victimize itself in the face of athletes hiding things and hurting them. It really is quite funny how this always happens. There is some NHL playoff talk that somehow melds in to NBA playoff talk and then back to NHL talk and a nice dose of Henry The Hockey Hound being fed up taking matters in to his own hands when it comes to bacon. Oh yeah and Miguel Cabrera. So get to downloading the show and enjoy the randomness. It is funny, at least it should be. Really not sure since no one has listened to it again. In the moment it came across as funny. We could be wrong so download it already. OK?

Higher education.

Higher education.

After another schedule snafu the boys are back talking a lot of sports in that Stunt Granny style. Eric2 and Jeremy get in to the big story of the past week and yes that mean Florida Gulf Coast. Who the hell goes to this school? How does ay higher learning occur when your dorm is off of a pool and an ocean? Who are these players? By the time this posts they will be beaten by Florida anyway so who cares really.  What is up with Chicago sports teams and their gimmicky intermission and seventh inning stretch shenanigans?  How has Mr. T maintained his celebrity status for all of these years without ay real work being done in the last thirty? Is he the smartest celebrity hockey intermission player of all time? Would you drink a milkshake mixed with ice cream and beer? Why not? It is made with craft beer? No? Still not tempted? Well The Charleston RiverDogs are betting you will be enticed. Oh minor league sports. Why is Tim McClelland calling balls and strikes from behind the mound? Has this ever been done before? There is a whole lot more on this weeks extra big edition so get to downloading already. (Full admission, we lost the links so, um, yeah you will have to find it all on your own this week.)

Kevin’s Blog: Post Wrestlemania Round Up

Our Tourist Credentials

We forgot to talk about some of the happenings around the events. This post is to flesh out our experience through pictures and text unlike our all audio weekend. I’m going to go through my notes and will keep them in chronological order, well except for the ending.

Before I get to my notes though, I need to get to one of the things we talked about which is the city of Atlanta. During our Wrestlemania review show, we killed the city of Atlanta. I think I even called it a “hell hole” at one juncture. Though I still firmly believe that any major metropolitan area should have easily accessible food and bars after midnight any day of the week, Atlanta shouldn’t be labeled a “hell hole” or any other disparaging names because of that lone factor. We used the MARTA train line all weekend, which was a lot easier than driving in any major city let alone the nightmare of driving in Atlanta. That’s definitely a down side to that city too. We got to eat at good or great restaurants, at the top of the list was Seasons 52, even if we had more on our list that we didn’t get to. Atlanta also has plenty of sites to visit. We used the above pictured booklet to go to the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium and a Tour of CNN. So my apologies go out to Atlanta. On to the notes and the big surprise.
