@WWE Roster Game Special

The choices weren’t always easy.

This is a very special edition of Stunt Granny Audio, folks, because in this one Eric, Kevin and Dusty join forces to play the illustrious WWE Roster Game! For those not familiar, this is the game where the Stunt Granny-ites go to the roster page on WWE.com and pare the roster down, with the logic being they would be operating a weekly two hour show every week and they can fill their roster however they see fit in order to have the best company possible and make the most money possible. Because WWE.com changed their roster page format, this time the guys have 18 lines of 5 wrestlers each to pick from, and they pick 2 wrestlers from each line, for a total of 36 pieces of talent. Who do they keep? Who do they kick to the curb? Which were the easiest choices? Who were the most agonizing omissions? How many e’s does Justin Roberts put in Mr Cena’s first name? For all these answers and more, you can only find out by listening, so for god’s sake do it.

3 Hour Monday Night Raw idea keeps getting worse

Oh my god this is getting worse. Besides taking their horribly mundane show, Monday Night Raw, and stretching it to an unnecessary length of three hours, Vince McMahon and company are now changing the format? Yes, WWE Monday Night Raw is going to be interactive according to WWE.com; whatever that means.

Sorry about that. According to the press release this entails the following:

Starting with the historic 1,000th episode of Raw on July 23, The WWE  Universe will have new ways to get involved in the show through WWE.com and social media by deciding matches, stipulations, Superstar development and more.

So everyone clear on just what Monday Night Raw will consist of going forward?  Does this mean the entire creative staff gets fired? If the WWE Universe is going to decide everything now then what are they there for now? Does “Superstar development” mean that the Universes input will make up their promos?  Will they be deciding feuds? What happens to Sin Cara and The Great Khali? (See cause no one gives a shit about them.)

This reeks of the porn industry introducing POV porn. They want you to think you are getting blown by some chick when in reality you are watching them suckle down on a stunt cock. Who believes that their comments on Facebook and Twitter are going to matter in the least? No rational adult is going to believe…..oh I get it. We aren’t the audience for WWE any longer.  So they are clearly depending on the children who are on Facebook and Twitter to give them ideas for who John Cena beats next.  I smell three year title reign a comin.

Just for the sake of argument that the input from social media will factor in to actual booking decisions, here is a small taste of what gets posted on WWEs Facebook page during Raw. I withheld the names for their own sake and no editing was used at all. No really, why bother changing perfection?  -Jeremy

firing big show was the worste thing johnny boy did he says he doesnt like bullys or people making fun of him yet he is a bully and has done nothing but bring wrestling to an all time low and next to be fired he has john cena in his mist and as foer eve she dresses and looks like michelle mccool used to look

jhon laurinaitis ,was WRONG!!! for firing big show , JHON YOU ARE A SELF CENTER PIG!!!!! AND WWE WILL NOT LET SHOW GO HHH WILL SEE TO THAT ! YOU SUCK!!!!

I am really getting tired of the way that piece of crap laurenitis is running the shows hes was a loser when he wrestled and he is a loser now if things dont start to change I might not be watching anymore!!!

John Laurinaitis is wrong for doing that he is just taking advantage of big show and he is to over powered as GM. I think when John Cena gets done with him he would have made a big mistake.

i wanted johnny to take charge after wrestlemania because i thought that a change was needed but now he is going too far

My God, who evn make John or what ever maybe ds devils name d GM? If wwe did not do something about ds evil man now, he will bring ds company down. Infact, John L, you are fired.

Mr. Larenasshole gets on my nerve ok tired of watching him. He disgraced Big Show dune with wrestling for now. Need teddy bac not gonna have Mr Larenasshole disgracing westlers.

WrestleMania 28 Preview #6- Team Johnny vs Team Teddy

Ok look this was recorded before Monday Night Raw and we nailed it. Then they go and change it so WWE can suck one. Who did the guys think were going to be the replacement wrestlers? They actually nailed two of them but not Team Teddy’s surprise entrant. Who wins this match and why? Do they dare upset the Giebink and get rid of Johnny? Can WWE afford to have no Laurinaitis on their airwaves? Is the evil GM played out and is the good GM not as good as you think? There is a whole lot more so download the thing and listen.

Reunited and it feels so good, Dusty and Jeremy join forces to combat the biggest stories of the week in the wide wide world of professional wrestling. Shane Douglas made a triumphant appearance on Raw that resounded across the nation. Or maybe it lulled everyone to sleep like a “good” Triple H promo. A-Train’s on again, off again relationship with the fact that he’s definitely coming back to WWE is apparently back on again, under the guise of Lord Tensai. If you have alcohol or substance abuse problems, you need to know right now that Chris Jericho absolutely HATES you. All that and a whole lot more so give the poor chaps about an hour of your time and an ear, why the fuck don’t ya?!

WWE Hops Aboard The A Train

From Figure Four Weakly:

Matt Bloom, who was New Japan’s top foreign star as Giant Bernard, and had formerly wrestled as Prince Albert and A-Train in WWE, is scheduled to return to the promotion after WrestleMania.

The idea given was for him to be the henchman for John Laurinaitis.

First of all, how clever am I with that headline? I am oh so very clever.

Second of all, this is really exciting for me. I am genuinely a big Matt Bloom fan, and I think this is long overdue for WWE to bring him back into the fold. Couple that with the fact that he’s going to be paired with Johnny Ace, who is my favorite act in WWE right now, and I am in pro wres heaven. Exclamation point.

Third of all, Eric Nelson is probbo crying in his Cheerios right now, because he always brought up Bloom to be in his company, if he ever started a wrestling company. Find a new awesome big man, chumpo! – Dusty

EDIT: Oh, so now it’s not going to happen.

On his Twitter, Matt “Albert” Bloom denied reports he had signed with WWE, writing, “Haha! False. Wife just had a baby. I’ll be on next tour.” Bloom, currently working for New Japan, also commented that he had no idea where the story came from.

I know that this morning, I heard from a number of talents that were told he was coming in this April, so we will see.

I should know better than to get excited about anything wrestling related. – Also Dusty

The Art of Wrestling: T-Shirt Factory

TNA had a problem with ripping off Afflicition and generally being lazy. The WWE isn’t much further behind. They aren’t lazy in cranking out shirts. The WWE also isn’t ripping off another company for their designs lazy. They are guilty of just being plain lazy when it comes to imagining shirts. Part of the problem has got to be the wrestlers themselves as Zack Ryder (Not a great shirt but certainly better than those about to get lambasted), CM Punk (I dig the hometown loyalty) and Santino Marella (Appropriate given his character) all have some interest in the “Authentic” category of WWE shirts. They have categories for Authentic, Basics, Limited Edition, Old School, Retro (I’m not sure what the difference is between those two categories) Superstar Logo, Top Rope and WWE Officially Licensed. I thought it was important to note the amount of categories because it helps my argument that they’re just a t shirt factory instead of going for quality shirts that are more likely to sell. I’m not surprised that two of the three shirts mentioned above are top sellers.

The first person on this list is my boy Dolph Ziggler. The WWE uses their brilliant naming of said Superstar to go straight for the Boogie Nights theme of neon lights. I’d be on board for that idea but they were super lazy with the design. It’s just the beginning of his song “I Am Perfection” in white, surrounded by blue with his initials “DZ” tacked onto the bottom. There isn’t a graphic in sight. On the back, it’s the same deal except it’s his name in white with the same blue surround. I know in the past I’ve harped on simplicity but this goes a bit too simple. There’s a borderline and this one falls on the lazy side of boring.

Dolph Ziggler’s newest offering isn’t any better. It says “It’s Not Show-ing Off” on five lines. The lettering is mainly white with a splashes of blue. The blue may be a picture but it’s hard to tell even with the magnifying glass. “If You Back It Up” is on the back of the shirt with the same white and blue patterns. It’s completely and utterly uninspired. I think it’s safe to say that Dolph didn’t major in marketing or have any friends who went to the Fashion School at Kent State.

Next on the list is the biggest offender (wokka wokka) is the Big Show. The first problem was that John Cena has been wearing dog tags for quite some time. Second, John Cena has switched from the jorts to the camo shorts before Big Show changed his attire. I don’t understand two of your biggest stars having the same look. With those problems in tow, the WWE decides to go with a shirt that has the initials “W.M.D.” on the front, dog bones for enlisted rank insignia on a sleeve and on the back it says “Big Show” with seven stars below it then “Precision Strike” on two lines. It’s just another shirt that screams “lazy”.

Jeremy and Kevin are back for another Raw recap. Except they take an unexpected tour of Smackdown at the beginning of a show. Did the guys infuriate Eric even more by enjoying more of Daniel Bryan’s antics? Could AJ be the evil woman masterminding behind Bryan’s turn? Is the WWE Mole back and listening to Stunt Granny’s audios? They move on to HHH and Undertaker. Did HHH’s respect lead to more veiled shots than compliments? Did it make sense for the Undertaker to have a video package? Speaking of video packages, how many of them were there on Raw? David Otunga didn’t get one but why did he get mic time? Should he get his own line of coffee mugs? What fantasy does Jeremy have about it’s use? Of course the guys get around to talking about Chris Jericho and the silent CM Punk. Who’s wardrobe should be changed? How obvious is it that these two will be fighting at Wrestlemania? The guys end by talking about Gisele and her take on the Patriots. It’s funny enough to keep you laughing as soon as you click the link below.
