The Guardian Did Age Progression on Dixie Carter

The Guardian Did Age Progression on Dixie Carter

Jeremy & Kevin are back in your ear holes. They start off by talking about Kevin’s awful trip into Pennsylvania this past weekend. If watching your team lose is bad, what makes it even worse? Kevin got two experience two different types of insult to injury during the Kent State and Pittsburgh Pirates game. They move on to talk about wrestling, specifically Raw. Did any of the story lines move along? Did that make the show bad? How bitter is Jeremy about the Chicago Blackhawks beating the Detroit Red Wings? Did this taint his evaluation of CM Punk’s promo? They weren’t surprised by the eliminations on during the 11 on 3 for the baby faces but they did break down the eliminations of the Shield members. Should the announcers had made a bigger deal out of Roman Reigns being pinned? Why was Seth Rollins the last one in the ring? Jeremy & Kevin move along to Jerry Jarrett’s take on Dixie Carter. Was he correct in his criticisms? Do you need to eat, sleep and breath wrestling to be successful? Did it help Jarrett succeed? Does he have anything in common with Carter? They segue into Dixie and her stellar acting going against AJ Styles. What built in storyline did TNA skip over to produce another heel authority figure? Should they have put over Magnus instead of Styles to avoid this angle? Is the Bound For Glory Series where TNA home grown stars go to die? Does it help Bobby Roode to be back in a team? Does anyone remember James Storm? Is TNA even wasting WWE talents like Jeff Hardy? We know some of these questions are easy to answer but we give them the analysis that you crave. Grab a #SippyTimeBeer, slap on the head phones and enjoy this romp through sports and wrestling.

#SippyTimeBeer Review – Goose Island, Otto’s and Yard’s

Ottos Hefeweizen Growler

I went back to Pennsylvania back to back weekends to close out April so my weekend writing time was severely limited. My time to drink was not hindered though. Because this week is American Craft Beer week, I will list in chronological order the beers I had and milk this trip for all it’s worth with two different posts.

Otto’s Pub & BreweryHefeweizen – My older brother Ron is also a big fan of Otto’s. He normally has his sister-in-law will buy him a growler and he ends up paying her when they meet up. Since I was there, he had me do the picking up while our parents did the delivering for my nieces dance recital on a later weekend. I picked up two growlers of Hefeweizen. It was a solid beer but was not as crisp and refreshing as most types I’ve tried. If you don’t like the cinnamon and/or nutmeg that are usually put into this type of beer, you will like it because it is not as forward.

Goose Island BrewingSummertime – This beer was so important, I didn’t even Instagram a picture of it. I do remember it being solid. I’ll have to try it again soon for a proper review. Since it’s obviously a seasonal beer, I’ll have to do that soon.

Yards Gen Washington Porter

Yard’s Brewing CompanyGeneral Washington Porter – According to their website, this style of porter was inspired from one of Washington’s original beer recipes that mimicked Philadelphia style porters of the time. Good to know they brewed good beer back then. I remember this porter having one thing in common with Atwater’s Vanilla Java Porter, it was kind of thin. I did like it better though. The bitter coffee taste was not as forward and may have been because of the chocolate providing some sweetness. I didn’t taste the chocolate much either.

The Breckenridge Amber Ale was the best of the six but I closed things strong with the Yard’s General Washington Porter. Go celebrate American Craft Beer week. -Kevin

Because this week is American Craft Beer week, I will list in chronological order the beers I had and milk this trip for all it’s worth with two different posts.

Atwater BreweryVanilla Java Porter – I went to go see my friends Steve & Mittan revive one of their bands at the fine establishment known as Aldo’s. Steve was drinking one of these Vanilla Java Porters. Since I hadn’t tried one before, I went for it. This beer out of Detroit was good but I thought it was a little thin for a porter, which tend to be closer in thickness to a stout. The vanilla and java tastes weren’t over bearing which is good for me since I don’t like coffee.

Atwater Vanilla Java Porter

Breckenridge BreweryAvalanche Amber Ale – Mittan runs the bar at Aldo’s. He has done a very good job of stocking the bar with a variety of beers. After not being entirely satisfied with the porter, I decided to switch up my beer. Because I’ve had a good track record with Breckenridge, I went with their Avalanche Amber Ale. I was not disappointed. A very tasty beer that I ended the evening with since their band finished playing by the time I finished beer number two.
