Dan & Kevin are back on the Pro Wrestling Ohio, scratch that, Prime Wrestling beat. What did the guys think of the name change? Would they suggest any changes? How is Aaron Maguire tied into this story line? Is Justin LaBar still part of the company?  Is “The Megastar” Marion Fontaine the bane of LaBar’s existence or did he move on to a new feud? The guys move on to talking about the Prime Wrestling Title picture right off the bat. Matt Cross was the champion coming into the first set of Prime Wrestling tapings but was he champion when the tapings ended? Krimson was one of his challengers but did he have too much on his plate with Matt Mason to capture the belt? Jimmy Jacobs was the other challenger but was he too busy ruffling Bobby Beverly’s feathers by helping Nicki Valentino becoming second in command? Dan & Kevin talk a little comedy when mentioning the new tag team of Dan Arkham & Bryan Castle? Is one guy more entertaining than the other? Do they have good chemistry? The guys keep trucking by talking about the other part of the Dead Wrestling Society, Gory, and his on going feud with Michael Facade for the TV Title. N8 Mattson claims that the Sons of Michigan will be adding to their ranks. Is it good that Mattson is still getting TV even though he is retired? PWO – Season 5 – Episode 4

There's a new authority figure in PWO. Is he a licensed architect?

Joe Dombrowski & Aaron Maguire kick off the show by telling us the main event is “The Megastar” Marion Fontaine taking on Jason Bane again, Krimson is battling Bryan Castle and first is Nicki Valentino against “Omega” Aaron Draven. Bobby Shields was at ring side for his Sex Appeal team mate. (The announcers seem exceptionally loud. It sounds like they’re echoing through out the venue.) Fast paced action started the match until Valentino took Draven’s legs out from under him when he was going for a spring board maneuver. Valentino cross faced him then drop kicked him in the back. Dombrowski accused Maguire of paying people off for the lumber jack match later between Fontaine & Bane. Valentino locked in a modified reverse chin lock. Draven countered out with a jaw jacker. Draven sentoned onto Valentino who was draped over the second rope. Draven clotheslined Valentino twice then gave him a big back body drop. A northern lights suplex by Draven that was pretty much no sold. Draven had to check into a top rope sunset flip because of the recovery. They reversed pinning predicaments. A fisherman’s suplex only got Valentino a two count. Valentino put Draven on the top ropes. Draven knocked Valentino off then caught him with an enziguri. Valentino hit a good looking drop kick. Valentino went to the top rope but ignored Shields’ advice to pin Draven. A spring board drop kick knocked Valentino down. Draven fireman’s carry slammed Valentino near the ropes. Draven finished him with the 450 splash.

Analysis: Solid and deserved win by Draven. Sex Appeal has been in a funk and the announcers seemed to saddle Valentino with more of it, which they should. Draven now needs to find a feud to capitalize on Nash making him look good. It was a well wrestled match to boot. Score: +1.

Vic Travgliante interviewed Bryan Castle who was playing Angry Birds. Brian Bender was sitting beside him who took the phone away from Castle who then waved at the camera. Castle had a hard time remembering that he has been training and watching lots of tape. He hasn’t washed his lucky head band. Bender forced Castle into a match against Krimson. Bender told Castle he needed to listen to him. Castle hugged Vic hard enough to hurt him. Analysis: Not the best promo. I’d hope that Castle would start learning something from Bender at this point no matter how dumb they’re playing him. I’ll be grumpy until this story goes somewhere. Score: 0.

Krimson waited patiently in the ring while Castle high fived people around ringside. Bender was at ringside. Krimson attacked Castle when he went for a high five. Krimson was punching, strangling and kicking Castle. Krimson stuffed Castle’s lucky bandana into his mouth. Castle got mad. He forearmed Krimson into a corner, Irish whipped him into another then splashed him. A snapmare led to a low clothesline by Castle. Krimson tried to regroup on the outside but Castle went after him. Krimson turned the tide by throwing Castle into a ring post. Krimson kept slamming him against it. Krimson rolled Castle back into the ring. He continued the assault on the left shoulder. Krimson missed a splash. Castle gave Krimson a single leg drop kick. Krimson gave Castle a cobra clutch into a Stroke  then held onto the clutch. (Cool looking move.)

N8 Mattson Interview

PWO – Season 4 – Episode 14

How did I not use a picture like this before when Sex Appeal was on PWO TV?

Joe Dombrowski and Aaron Maguire ran down the card for the night. We star off with the Sons of Michigan, N8 Mattson & Benjamin Boone, against Sex Appeal, Nicki Valentino & Bobby Shields, against Aeroform, Louis Linden & Flip Kendrick. Kendrick started against Valentino, who did a head stand. Kendrick did some dance moves after avoiding an attack. The Homeless Handicapped Connection, Gregory Iron & Hobo Joe, came to ring side to watch the action. Linden and Shields tagged in for their teams.  Nice drop kick by Shields. Double drop kick by Aeroform on Shields. Boone tags in while Aeroform are attacking Valentino. He double clothes lines them. Mattson comes in to work on Kendrick. Shields tagged himself in when Boone wasn’t working. Mattson tagged himself in. Kendrick took all of the beating. Linden got the hot tag  and took out all four of his competitors. Boone stopped the offense. Mattson & Boone double teamed him. Boone choke slammed Linden for the victory.

Analysis: I’d have to think that takes Aeroform out of the title picture. The match was pretty well wrestled but seemed like it could have gone longer with three teams involved. They showed the Homeless Handicapped Connection after the win so the story line with the Sons and Fruith is likely to stay until Wrestlelution. Score: +1.

“The Megastar” Marion Fontaine, still in his bed room, who asks Joe Dombrowski for his apology. He tells Justin LaBar he hasn’t done anything in this business. Fontaine could start a blog and do more than LaBar has in his whole three years. Fontaine said he has lived and breathed wrestling since he was a child. Fontaine said he wants to be face to face with LaBar one more time. He told him to bring the internet fans or show balls and come by himself.

PWO – Season 4 – Episode 13

PWO is getting "Hammered" again.

Joe Dombrowski points to someone who ends up being Aaron Maguire who is wearing a neck brace. Dombrowski wonders if Maguire is on drugs. (I sure hope so after a neck injury) Krimson versus Gregory Iron is the main event. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine is going to be interviewed by Dombrowski. N8 Mattson takes on Ben Fruith.

Bobby Beverly came out to defend the TV Title against Michael “The Bomber” Facade. Pedro De Lucca did formal introductions. Both Aeroform and Sex Appeal are banned from ring side. Exchanges of mat moves started things. They exchanged kicks to the gut. Beverly got a two after a suplex. Botched move where the opponents barely bummed shoulders then Beverly had to punch Facade. Facade twirled multiple time for a head scissors take over. Pescado onto Beverly on the outside sends us to commercial.

Analysis: The opening to this match was terrible. Not only was that incident botched, Facade looked to be going 50% in the ring. Not his usual speed. Beverly looked fine. Score: -1.

Facade missed a spring board moonsault but got a two count out of it. Beverly drop kicked Facade’s knee then gave him an enziguri. Crisp looking snap driver from Beverly.  Beverly danced like he was going for a thrust kick. When he went for it, Facade grabbed his leg and turned into an ankle lock. Jason Gory came from nowhere and jumped up on the ring apron, Facade shoulder blocked him to the guard rail and looked at him. Beverly caught Facade with the thrust kick when he turned around. Beverly got the victory. Dombrowski blamed the loss on Gory. Gory came back into the ring and got into Beverly’s face. Beverly swung at Gory who locked in a choke hold and covered his mouth. Gory put the TV Title on Beverly’s chest then stomped on it. Gory left the ring. Maguire sided with Gory’s blatant choke.

Analysis: I made sure I noted Maguire’s stance because that would seem to tell me (along with Dombrowski complaining about Gory) that they’re positioning Beverly as a face. They’d have to turn the rest of Sex Appeal or have Beverly go out on his own and let Bobby Shields & Nicki Valentino as heels. That’s early speculation though, nothing wrong about doing it this way. I mentioned the TV Title log jam in the last episode, turning one of the heels face is another way to solve that log jam. Same song as the first half of this match in terms of execution.

PWO – Season 3 – Episode 20

Who could form the Karate Kontingent? I'm cool. I spelled contingent with a K.

Doctor Monstrous warned the evil doers of Pro Wrestling Ohio to beware because she debuts soon.  Joe Dombrowski then asked for Portia to come to a photo shot. Doctor Monstrous mumbled that she wasn’t Portia. Analysis: This was the same segment as last week except they changed the time of when she’s debuting. What crap. Score: -1.

N8 Mattson came to the ring with Benjamin Boone & Ben Fruth for a match in the semifinals of the number one contendership. Mattson told the crowd that Ben was officially a member of The Sons of Michigan. Mattson made him take off his “Where is Mike Tolar?” shirt for a Michigan shirt.  Jason Bane was Mattson’s opponent. Maguire announced that he was raising the bounty on Jason Bane to $50,000.  Bane used his size advantage to knock Mattson out of the ring a couple of times. Dombrowski mentioned that the Sons of Michigan hope to be the finalists for the contendership. Bane chopped Mattson hard. Bane hit some basic offense including a side suplex. Mattson turned it around with a poke to the eyes.  Mattson got blocked and reversed on a suplex. Bane took a swing at Boone on the apron which lead to him being cop blocked. Mattson began working over the leg with elbows and punches. Dombrowski said they have an interview with Johnny Gargano asking him about his possible role in the ambush attacks.  Mattson was still working over Bane’s leg. Boone interfered while the referee was distracted by Mattson. A figure four was applied by Mattson. Bane reversed it by pushing off the mat.  Bane gave Mattson some heavy shots.  The official got hit when Bane went for the F5.  Bane spine bustered Mattson. Boone jumped on the ring apron and got punched.  Bane went for the “Baneline” but was hit in the back with the TV Title by Boone. Mattson hit the Code Breaker for the victory. He slid out of the ring exhausted and beat up. Maguire and his bodyguard Mr Brinks went down to ringside to taunt Bane when the camera abruptly cut back stage.
